Cancellation Policy

Attendees

Registrants who cancel on or before November 21, 2023, will receive a full refund. After that date, all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to a future conference. Substitutions may be made at any time, including the first day of the conference. To attend Trial Lawyers of Mass Torts (TLMT), you must fall under one of these categories: a Licensed Attorney, Law Student, Judge, or Retired Judge. If you do not meet any of these requirements, your ticket purchase cannot be refunded by TLMT. Alternatively, if you are not one of these, contact TLMT at info@tlmt.org or call at (850) 750-7808.


Trial Lawyers of Mass Torts, LLC (TLMT) conferences are limited to attendees engaged primarily in Civil Plaintiff representation or Criminal Defense representation. It is strictly forbidden for an individual to attend the conference if the individual or any law firm member is associated with or working in any way connected to the defense of any case or case type that may be covered in the conference. The ONLY exception in which a Defense Attorney is allowed to attend will be for the Judicial Panel session and solely for that one session. Registrants must also confirm that they do not work with or on behalf of any company that seeks reimbursement from plaintiff settlement proceeds for medical, secondary payer, or subrogation liens of any type.

TLMT reserves the right to return any deposited fees, decline any application for attendance, refuse entrance, and decline admission to any and all attendees and applicants at any time.

Force Majeure Clause

If TLMT is prevented from carrying out its obligations as it pertains to the conference you registered for as a result of any cause beyond its control, or such conference cannot be conducted because of a software or issue with the hosting platform or due to acts of God, strikes, labor disputes, government requisitions, restrictions or war or apparent act of war, terrorism, disaster, civil disorder, epidemic or pandemic, curtailment or restriction on transportation facilities, or any other comparable calamity, casualty or condition (collectively a “Force Majeure”) TLMT shall have the right to immediately terminate the affected conference without liability and shall be relieved of its obligations to Registrant.

If the affected conference is terminated due to a Force Majeure occurrence before the first day of the conference, then TLMT will reschedule the affected conference and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled Conference.


Host Hotel Policies

Rates are subject to federal and state taxes + service charge, currently: 16% federal tax, 3% lodging tax +10% service charge= TOTAL 29% taxes.

Deposit Policy: A deposit equal to full stay will be charged at the time a guest makes a room reservation.

Cancellation Policy: If cancellation is received 45 or more days prior to group’s main arrival date, by 5:00pm hotel local time, there will be no forfeiture amount.

If cancellation or changes are received within 45 to 0 days prior to group’s main arrival date, the forfeiture amount will be 100% of the reserved room nights, plus any applicable taxes.
